From my experience, the pound does not work. Only euro and yen.
Fast execution and fast vps are not required. But you need a narrow spread.
A time-based filter can be useful, but very insignificant.

No i dont yet, but i'Ve had it for a long time and based on the backtest i did, i can tell. Fast vps is important to minimize slippages during fast moving makert. I have experience with fast scalping EAs.
When the execution is not fast and vps is not fast. then its a loss.
My reasons is that when you do a fix lot backtest on 0.1 lot you will discover that the average profictable pips are in fraction 0.8 pips on average and using the best optimised set file will give you a maximum of 100-200pips in total in a 1yr backtest. So any little slippage or high spread is a loss trade
